A shocking murder case from India has revealed that a 26-year-old businessman was allegedly killed by his fiancée and her lover after a carefully planned conspiracy. Police say Siya Goyal, 20, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, pushed Ketan Agarwal from Lohagad Fort near Pune, causing him to fall into a 400-metre-deep gorge.

According to investigators, Ketan and Siya were preparing for a lavish wedding, with expensive arrangements already underway. However, police believe Siya was secretly involved with Chetan and wanted to eliminate Ketan before the marriage.
The investigation found several warning signs before Ketan’s death. One of the earliest incidents occurred when Siya allegedly stole Ketan’s passport ahead of a planned pre-wedding photoshoot in Bali. Reports suggest she discarded the passport at a hotel, forcing the couple to cancel their trip and return to Pune.
After the cancelled vacation, Siya reportedly persuaded Ketan to visit Lohagad Fort. Police claim she first attempted to take him there on May 31. A second visit took place on June 14, during which she allegedly tried to push him from a dangerous edge. Ketan survived after a tree prevented him from falling into the gorge. Siya later explained the incident by claiming she was trying to protect him from a snake.
Investigators say that after the failed attempt, Siya continued urging Ketan to return to the fort. Family members told police that Ketan was reluctant to go back after the June 14 incident. However, Siya allegedly insisted and even contacted Ketan’s mother to convince him to join her and celebrate her birthday with friends.
Police allege that during the final visit, Chetan Chaudhary was also present at the fort. The two allegedly pushed Ketan into the gorge, leading to his death. After the incident, Siya reportedly informed authorities that Ketan had accidentally fallen while taking photographs.
The case took a dramatic turn when Ketan’s family raised doubts about the accident claim. Their concerns prompted the Lonavala Rural Police to investigate further, eventually uncovering evidence that pointed towards a planned murder. Authorities have since arrested the accused and continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crime.
