Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have begun official talks in Islamabad during the Iranian leader’s visit to Pakistan. The meeting marks an important step in efforts to strengthen cooperation and relations between the two neighboring countries.

According to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), the meeting is being attended by Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir and Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar. Senior officials from both sides are also expected to take part in discussions during the visit.
The talks are expected to cover a range of issues, including bilateral relations, regional security, economic cooperation, trade, and matters of mutual interest. Both countries are looking to expand collaboration in different sectors and enhance diplomatic engagement.
The PMO said that delegation-level discussions will follow the leaders’ meeting, allowing officials from Pakistan and Iran to hold detailed consultations on key regional and international developments.
President Pezeshkian is visiting Pakistan at the invitation of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. The visit reflects the close ties between the two countries and their shared commitment to strengthening cooperation and partnership.
