Pakistan Joins Global FIFA World Cup 2026 Countdown at Islamabad Event

Pakistan officially joined the global countdown for the 2026 FIFA World Cup during a special launch event held in Islamabad. The event was organized by the United States Embassy in Pakistan in collaboration with the Pakistan Football Federation.

The ceremony brought together government officials, diplomats, football representatives, athletes, and sports fans to celebrate the upcoming world football tournament, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.

During the event, speakers highlighted the growing popularity of football in Pakistan and emphasized the importance of sports in connecting people from different cultures and backgrounds. Representatives from both the US Embassy and the Pakistan Football Federation expressed hope that the FIFA World Cup 2026 would inspire young football players in Pakistan and promote greater international sports cooperation.
