Iran Says Pakistan and Qatar’s Mediation Brings Major Progress Toward Ending Lebanon Conflict

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said that mediation efforts by Pakistan and Qatar have resulted in significant progress toward ending the conflict in Lebanon. In a statement shared on X, Araghchi praised the diplomatic role played by both countries in helping move negotiations forward.

According to the Iranian foreign minister, several important developments have been achieved during the ongoing talks. He stated that restrictions on Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports have been eased, the blockade has been lifted, and a portion of the country’s frozen assets has been released.

Araghchi also announced the launch of a major reconstruction and development initiative for Iran, describing it as a positive step toward economic recovery and regional stability. He noted that technical discussions between the involved parties are still underway, with further negotiations expected in the coming days.

The remarks highlight growing diplomatic efforts aimed at reducing tensions in the region and creating conditions for a lasting resolution to the conflict in Lebanon. Officials have not yet provided additional details about the agreements reached, but discussions are reportedly continuing as both sides work toward a comprehensive settlement.
