A political development in Tamil Nadu has drawn significant public attention after actor Vijay reportedly extended a party ticket to his long-time driver’s son, R. Sabarinathan.
Contesting from the Virugambakkam constituency, Sabarinathan has secured a decisive victory, which is being widely viewed as a surprising underdog success in the election.
Sabarinathan, aged 30, is the son of Rajendran, who has served as Vijay’s driver and personal assistant for many years. His win by a comfortable margin has brought him into the political spotlight, and he is expected to take oath as an MLA alongside Vijay.
The outcome has sparked discussion among supporters and political observers, with many describing it as a message-driven result. They believe the victory reflects public trust and hard work, highlighting how determination and support can outweigh traditional political background.
