Pakistani actress and television host Mishi Khan has openly criticized the current state of the local film industry after her recent experience with Eid film releases. Speaking about the movies released during the Eid holidays, Mishi said she had planned to watch all three Pakistani films in cinemas to support local productions.
According to Mishi Khan, she was able to watch the horror-comedy film “Zombied,” but when she went to see the other two releases, “Psycho” and “Love Di Saun,” she discovered that both films had already been removed from cinemas shortly after their release. The situation left her disappointed and raised concerns about the quality and performance of local films.

Sharing her views, Mishi questioned why filmmakers continue to produce projects that fail to attract audiences. She expressed disappointment over what she described as the declining standards of Pakistani cinema and urged the industry to focus on creating stronger and more engaging content.

The actress further stated that many recent film projects do not offer a true cinematic experience. In her opinion, some productions appear more like extended television dramas rather than feature films designed for the big screen. Her remarks have sparked discussion among film fans and industry observers about the challenges facing Pakistani cinema and the need for higher-quality storytelling and production standards.
