Kuwait’s military announced that its air defence systems successfully intercepted what it described as hostile missile and drone attacks, according to reports.
In an official statement shared on X, the military said that any explosion sounds heard across certain areas were the result of air defence operations targeting and intercepting incoming threats. Authorities reassured the public that the explosions were linked to defensive measures being carried out by the country’s security forces.
The military did not provide details regarding the source or origin of the missiles and drones. However, it confirmed that air defence units remained active and vigilant in responding to potential threats to Kuwait’s security and airspace.
The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the region, with several countries increasing security measures and monitoring.
