Bangladesh is facing a severe weather crisis after days of heavy rainfall triggered widespread flooding and landslides across several parts of the country. According to official reports, at least 51 people have lost their lives, while thousands of residents have been affected as floodwaters continue to rise.
The relentless rain has submerged homes, damaged roads and bridges, and forced many families to leave their properties for safer locations. Rescue teams and emergency workers have been deployed to assist stranded residents, while authorities continue relief operations in the worst-hit areas.
Officials have warned that more rainfall is expected, increasing the risk of additional flooding and landslides. Residents living in low-lying and hilly regions have been advised to remain alert and follow evacuation instructions as weather conditions remain dangerous.
The disaster has disrupted daily life across several districts, with transportation, communication, and essential services affected in many areas. Authorities are continuing search and rescue efforts while providing emergency assistance to those displaced by the floods.
