Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Wednesday expressed willingness to hold talks with the government to resolve political differences, but made it clear that the release of jailed party founder and former prime minister Imran Khan would be necessary before any dialogue could move forward.
In the past, PTI leaders, including Imran Khan, had repeatedly rejected negotiations with the current government, often criticizing the ruling alliance in public statements and refusing to engage in talks.
Speaking during a session of the National Assembly, PTI MNA Ali Muhammad Khan said the party was ready to sit with the government in order to find solutions to the country’s political issues. However, he stressed that meaningful dialogue could only take place in an environment where Imran Khan is released from jail.
Ali Muhammad Khan also called on Nawaz Sharif to come forward for talks, saying both sides should work together to reduce political tensions and address national challenges through dialogue.
