Nine Dead in Bargi Dam Boat Accident, Including Mother and Her Four Years Old Son Found Holding Each Other Even After Death

A tragic boat accident at Bargi Dam on April 30, 2026, has left at least nine people dead after a cruise vessel capsized in the reservoir. The incident occurred when a sudden and severe storm struck the area, generating strong winds and rough waters that caused the boat, carrying dozens of passengers, to overturn.

Rescue operations were launched immediately, with paramilitary personnel and local authorities working under difficult conditions to search for survivors and recover victims from the water. Several passengers were successfully rescued, while others could not be saved. Among those who lost their lives were a young mother and her four-year-old son, a detail that has deeply saddened the public and underscored the human tragedy of the incident.

The disaster has raised serious concerns about safety protocols and decision-making. Reports suggest that a storm warning had been issued before the incident, prompting questions about why the boat was allowed to operate despite the risk. Authorities have now launched an investigation to determine whether negligence or lapses in safety measures contributed to the tragedy.

Officials have assured that strict action will be taken if any violations are found. The incident has once again highlighted the urgent need for stronger safety enforcement and more responsible operational decisions to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
