Iqrar Ul Hassan Resigns from ARY After 21 Years

Senior journalist and Sar-e-Aam host Iqrar Ul Hassan has announced his resignation from ARY News after a 21-year association with the channel. The announcement was made through a video message posted on his official social media accounts late Tuesday night.

In the video, Iqrar said he had reached a point where he had to choose between his career at ARY and his political platform, Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek. He confirmed that he has decided to dedicate himself fully to Awam Raj Tehreek moving forward.

Looking back on his time at the channel, he described it as a 21-year journey filled with “wonderful memories” that has now come to a respectful and graceful end. He thanked ARY News for the platform and opportunities it gave him throughout his career.

Iqrar also addressed the viewers of his popular investigative show Sar-e-Aam, thanking them for the “love, trust, and prayers” they gave him over the years. The program, known for sting operations and social justice campaigns, became one of ARY’s most recognized shows during his tenure.

As of now, ARY News has not issued an official statement on his departure. Iqrar did not share details about the future of Sar-e-Aam or whether the show will continue in another format.

Iqrar Ul Hassan launched Pakistan Awam Raj Tehreek in 2023 as a social and political movement focused on public welfare and accountability.
