Aleema Khan, sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail on Tuesday, where she addressed questions related to internal differences within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and clarified her position in the party’s ongoing political situation.
Speaking to reporters, she responded to concerns regarding reported divisions and disagreements within PTI’s ranks. She stated that many of the claims circulating in the media about internal rifts are being misinterpreted and emphasized the need to understand the situation in its proper context.
Aleema Khan also clarified her own role within the party, saying that she is not involved in day-to-day political decision-making but remains supportive of her brother and the party’s broader political narrative. She highlighted that her engagement is more personal and supportive rather than organizational.
She further noted that the current challenges being faced by PTI are part of a larger political environment, where misunderstandings and speculation often spread quickly. According to her, such narratives do not necessarily reflect the actual position of the party or its leadership.
Her remarks come at a time when PTI continues to face political pressure and ongoing legal and organizational challenges, with discussions about internal cohesion and leadership direction remaining in the spotlight.
