Shaheen Strikes, Shadab Finishes the Job as Pakistan Beat Australia

Pakistan secured a convincing four-wicket victory over Australia in the third and final One-Day International (ODI) in Lahore, sealing the three-match series 2-1.

Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi led Pakistan’s bowling attack with an impressive spell, taking 3 wickets for 30 runs as Australia were bowled out for just 157 runs. Pakistan’s bowlers maintained pressure throughout the innings, restricting the visitors and setting up a manageable chase.

In reply, Pakistan reached the target in 41.5 overs despite facing some resistance from the Australian bowlers. All-rounder Shadab Khan played a crucial role in the run chase, remaining unbeaten on 29 and guiding his team to victory. Earlier in the match, Shadab had also contributed with the ball, claiming two important wickets.

The win handed Pakistan the ODI series 2-1 and marked their third consecutive bilateral ODI series triumph against Australia. Pakistan had won the opening match by five wickets in Rawalpindi, while Australia bounced back with a 41-run victory in the second game in Lahore before the hosts clinched the decider.

The series victory highlights Pakistan’s strong performances in both bowling and all-round departments, with Shaheen Afridi and Shadab Khan emerging as the standout performers in the decisive encounter.
