Masoud Pezeshkian arrived in Pakistan on Tuesday for an official visit at the invitation of Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. As the Iranian president’s aircraft entered Pakistani airspace, it was welcomed and escorted by fighter jets of the Pakistan Air Force as a gesture of respect and diplomatic goodwill.
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also arrived in Pakistan on the same day. The president and foreign minister traveled on separate aircraft for the visit, which is expected to focus on strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation between the two neighboring countries.
During his stay, President Pezeshkian is expected to hold high-level meetings with Pakistan’s political and military leadership. Discussions are likely to cover a range of issues, including trade, border security, regional stability, economic cooperation, and matters of mutual interest.
The visit reflects the longstanding ties between Pakistan and Iran and comes at a time when both countries are seeking to expand collaboration in various sectors. Officials from both sides are expected to explore new avenues for cooperation and reaffirm their commitment to maintaining strong diplomatic relations.
