“Peace Jirga Urges Pakistan and Afghanistan to End Border Clashes Through Dialogue”

Participants of a jirga held on Tuesday urged the governments of Pakistan and Afghanistan to stop the ongoing border clashes and resolve their issues through peaceful dialogue. They stressed that continued conflict is harmful for both countries and that talks are the best way to achieve lasting peace.

The event, titled the “Pakistan-Afghanistan Peace Jirga,” was organised by the think tank Aspire Khyber Pakhtunkhwa along with the National Reform Movement (Qaumi Islahi Tehreek). The purpose of the jirga was to discuss the rising tensions between the two neighboring countries and to promote peaceful solutions.

The jirga was attended by political and religious leaders, members of the business community, and media representatives. The participants emphasized that Pakistan and Afghanistan share strong religious, cultural, and social ties. They said both countries should use diplomatic channels to resolve their differences and work together for stability and mutual understanding.
