Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf has responded to recent criticism over his performances in high-pressure moments, saying he chooses to stay away from social media and outside opinions.
Speaking during a media interaction, Rauf made it clear that he does not follow online commentary or public reactions. He said many people express opinions without fully understanding the situation, often focusing more on views and engagement rather than accuracy.
Rauf stressed that criticism should be delivered responsibly and respectfully. He added that constructive feedback is important, but it should be based on proper understanding and discipline.
The pacer also pointed out that fans often do not see the full picture during matches. According to him, several factors—such as match conditions, field placements, and game situations—play a key role, but are often overlooked when judging a player’s performance.
His remarks come after a dramatic Pakistan Super League 2026 match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings. In a tense finish, Karachi needed 14 runs in the final over. After an on-field review by umpire Faisal Afridi, a five-run penalty was awarded, reducing the target to nine.
Karachi Kings then sealed the victory in just three deliveries with a boundary and a six, leaving Lahore Qalandars disappointed.
Rauf’s comments highlight his focus on the game rather than outside noise, as he continues to deal with pressure situations on the field.
