A big cricket tournament called the Pakistan Super League had some drama in a recent match between Lahore Qalandars and Karachi Kings.
A player named Fakhar Zaman is being blamed for possibly changing the ball in an unfair way. This is called “ball tampering,” and it is not allowed in cricket.
This happened in the last over of the match when Karachi needed 14 runs to win. Fakhar, along with his teammates Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf, were talking and passing the ball to each other.
The umpires (match referees) noticed something and checked the ball. After looking at it, they gave Karachi 5 extra runs as a penalty and changed the ball.
These extra runs helped Karachi win the match easily. Abbas Afridi hit a four and a six to finish the game, and Karachi won by 4 wickets.
Fakhar says he did nothing wrong. The Pakistan Cricket Board will look into the matter again and make a final decision soon.
If Fakhar is found guilty, he might not be allowed to play for 1 or 2 matches.
This reminds people of an old cricket incident in 2018 when some players also got into trouble for doing the same thing.
