Actress Momina Iqbal has shared a lengthy statement on social media regarding her ongoing legal dispute with Saqib Chadhar, saying she can no longer remain silent about the matter. In her post, Momina claimed that the case was never about financial transactions, as has been alleged by some parties, but was instead related to cyber harassment, blackmail for a forced marriage, and death threats.
According to Momina, she rejected the marriage proposal because she allegedly discovered what she described as fraudulent claims and other serious matters linked to Saqib Chadhar. She stated that her refusal was not based on a single issue but on several concerns that came to light over time.
The actress further alleged that fears surrounding the exposure of certain facts were the real reason behind the ongoing controversy. She rejected claims regarding large financial dealings and said allegations that she had received or was offered billions of rupees were false and had never been proven. Momina maintained that no evidence had been presented to support such claims.
In her statement, Momina also accused Saqib Chadhar of being involved in financial irregularities, claiming that there are cheque bounce cases worth Rs27 crore against him. She added that her own case had already been proven through the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) process and alleged that raids had also been conducted in connection with matters involving him. She further claimed that more details regarding alleged frauds would become public in the near future.
Momina said that beyond the main case, members of her family had allegedly been targeted through separate legal applications and proceedings. She accused influential individuals of using political power and influence against her and her relatives. According to her, her sister was subjected to character assassination, while her husband has also faced difficulties because he stood by her during the dispute.
Reiterating her stance, Momina said the original case remains the same as the one reflected in the FIR and insisted that the allegations mentioned there had already been established through legal proceedings. She also referred to the involvement of a sitting MPA, stating that legal procedures and protocols must be followed before any action can be taken. Expressing confidence in the judicial process, she said she believes those responsible will ultimately face punishment.
The actress concluded by saying that she is now prepared to present evidence supporting her claims and that more facts about the case will be revealed publicly in the coming days. Her latest statement has once again brought the high-profile dispute into the spotlight and sparked fresh discussion across social media.
