Maryam Nawaz recently shared a personal detail about her early career aspirations, revealing that her mother wanted her to become a doctor. While speaking during a public interaction, Maryam Nawaz said that her late mother, Kulsoom Nawaz, hoped she would pursue a career in medicine before she eventually entered politics.
The Punjab Chief Minister spoke about her educational background and family expectations while discussing the importance of education and career choices for young people. She mentioned that although there was a desire within the family for her to study medicine, life later took her in a different direction, eventually leading her into politics and public service.
Maryam Nawaz has previously studied in medical college but did not continue her medical education. Over the years, she became actively involved in political activities and later emerged as one of the leading figures of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. In 2024, she also made history by becoming the first woman to serve as the Chief Minister of Punjab.
