Mera Lyari Set for Big-Screen Release: A Powerful Tale of Dreams, Struggles & Hope Hits Cinemas May 8

The upcoming film Mera Lyari is set to hit cinemas nationwide on May 8, 2026, bringing a powerful story inspired by dreams, resilience, and the spirit of Lyari. The film highlights the struggles and hopes of people connected to one of Karachi’s most historically rich communities.

The project features a strong ensemble cast including Ayesha Omar, Dananeer Mobeen, and Trinette Lucas in leading roles. They are joined by veteran and supporting performers such as Sammiya Mumtaz, Nayyar Ejaz, Paras Masroor, and Adnan Shah Tipu, along with several other talented artists.

The film is directed by Ali Sajjad Shah and produced by Waqas Hassan Rizvi. Ayesha Omar also serves as the executive producer, further strengthening her involvement in the project beyond acting.

With the tagline “One city. Many stories. One dream,” Mera Lyari aims to present an emotional and inspiring cinematic experience that reflects the voice and energy of Lyari while connecting with audiences nationwide.
