Islamabad is facing a severe heatwave, with soaring temperatures making outdoor conditions extremely uncomfortable for residents. While the actual temperature reached 38°C, the feels-like temperature climbed to 46°C due to high humidity and weather conditions, significantly increasing the risk of heat-related illnesses.
The intense heat has affected daily life across the capital, prompting people to limit outdoor activities during the hottest hours of the day. Health experts are advising residents to stay hydrated, wear light clothing, avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, and check on children, older adults, and other vulnerable individuals who are more susceptible to heat stress.
Authorities continue to monitor the weather situation as the heatwave persists. Residents are encouraged to follow official weather updates and take necessary precautions to stay safe until temperatures begin to ease.
